Marcos is Antonio’s older brother. They are from a very dangerous area and have very poor living conditions. You can see the hardships in Marcos’ eyes but you also see how much he enjoys being at the club and really just wants a place to play and be a kid. He focuses really well when he does activities with Teresa and is always taking care of his brother.
Two words come to mind when I think of Antonio. Hug and smile. As soon as he walks in the room, if he catches your eye, be prepared to be jumped. A year ago, he almost never smiled and was so shy. He lives in one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods and you can see how excited and happy he is to come to the DOVE club after school. Now he’s running around with the other boys and hugging any volunteer he meets. What a beautiful boy. His older brother is Marcos V.
Wow! What a great summer we've had thus far! It's been so busy and such an adventure but we couldn't be happier! The kids are loving spending so much time in the club and we're more than happy to spend that much time with them:) We've added more classes, more teachers, more volunteers from all over the place - we love summer! Here is a picture of Marcos just hanging out at the club one day after one of his classes - we love summer!

Hola! Wow! What a summer it's been, and we're only halfway into it. We can't believe how fast the time is going but we're loving spending so much time with the kids and being able to see them as often as we do. With the addition of classes, teachers and so many volunteers coming from all over we certainly are busy, but we're loving every minute of it! Here is a picture of Claribel after finishing a class at the club on day. She was just hanging out, having a great time! We love summer! :)
